Biodynamic Cranial Touch Mentor Series

Pre-requisite: Biodynamic Cranial Touch Initiatory Course

There are currently in Australia two courses on offer - The Initiatory Course and The Mentoring Course. Both courses are taught by certified instructor Giorgia Milne.

The Biodynamic Cranial Touch Iniatory Course is open to anyone who has previous craniosacral experience, and its completion is required to join the Mentor Course.

The Mentor Series is taught in Modules and covers the same course knowledge, content and skills that are covered in the USA Mentor course taught by Charles Ridley. In his final years, Dr Sutherland revealed his powerful discovery: 'Trust the Tide.' This is the intelligence of primary respiration, which expresses as Tidal enfoldments of the Breath of Life and are distinct levels of consciousness. Touching without interference, without motion testing the tissues, or applying any outside force, is so powerful that even Dr Sutherland characterised it as 'uncanny.'

The Initiatory Course is a requirement for enrolment in the Mentor Course. It is designed to provide you with the practices by which you directly access primary respiration. This is accomplished through a gradual process whereby you cease all intervention such that you learn to become neutral - letting what be as it is - neither leaving yourself, nor withdrawing into yourself amid depth. So, understanding neutral is the primary objective.

In this course you will explore profound insights into biodynamics. This is accomplished by creating a sacred space through meditation, expanding our heart awareness, and with tonally matched hand contacts, will lead you directly into powerful encounters with primary respiration of the Breath of Life. According to the biodynamic philosophy, Breath of Life is the power that made the body and heals the body.

The Initiatory Course is a concentrated program that is designed to teach you the basic principles of touch, tissue motion theories, evaluation skills and techniques of biomechanical and funcitonal tissue work so to give you a solid foundation for further work.

Required reading fot the Initiatory course is 'Stillness' by Charles Ridley, available through the Craniosacral Therapy Academy at a discounted price.

The Initiatory Course will also prepare those with previous cranial trainings to learn how to practice non-intervention before joining the Biodynamic Cranial Touch Mentor Program.

After completing the Initiatory Course you may then apply to join the Biodynamic Cranial Touch Mentor Program by interviewing with teacher Giorgia Milne, who will evaluate that:

• After practicing for some time you have gained valuable experience working with the tissues without intervention.
• You have developed a living relationship with the intelligence inherent in the craniosacral system in which you are able to sense the variations in tonality and can decipher "yes" and "no" via the body-felt-sense of the tone.
• You can remain neutral; and are able to contact primary respiration.

If you have previous cranial training and you experience a living relationship with the cranial wave (tissue motion), or you already practice biodynamics, you may also enrol in the Mentor Program after completing the Initiatory Course.

The Initiatory Course is designed so that everyone enters the Mentor Course on the same page with respect to neutral.

In USA there are 4 levels leading to certification. These levels and their content will be taught in Australia but in a compressed format of three x 5-day intensive modules offered approximately 6 months apart.

Completion of the modules will lead to a Certificate in Biodynamic Cranial Touch.
