The Somatic Craniosacral Therapy program is designed synergistically as a complete body of material working with the whole body and a person. The program is a multi-dimensional learning process which incorporates training seminars, dynamic support classes, hands-on personal sessions, outside reading and learning projects.
Somatic CST 1 In this seminar, the theory of Myofascial and Craniosacral Therapy is introduced with effective, practical “hands-on” techniques that can be used immediately in a clinical situation. Interfacing with other types of bodywork will be demonstrated. Somatic CST 2 This seminar is designed to enhance your skill level and sensitivity to address client’s emotional and physical releases. Persistent pain or structural dysfunction may be perpetuated by holding or bracing patterns. Protocols for releasing these patterns will be demonstrated. The role of Somato-emotional release is explored. Somatic CST 3 This seminar will demonstrate advanced techniques, especially for the hard palate and cranial constrictions. The concepts of the inter-relationship between physical and emotional holding patterns of the jaw and neck will be demonstrated. More craniosacral therapy techniques will be introduced. Somatic CST 4 Here, we will detail the concepts and techniques of using the osseous structures as levers to effect release of fascia. Upper and lower body techniques will be learnt and demonstrated. More craniosacral therapy techniques are demonstrated. Somatic CST 5 This module explores more deeply the structures of the cranial system and will improve the practitioner’s visualisation and understanding of the cranial system by relating techniques to structure. Cranial Anatomy is critical to the comprehension and understanding of more advanced techniques. Somatic CST 6 This module is entirely devoted to Craniosacral Therapy and adds more technique and approaches for treating a wide range of conditions. Somatic CST 7 This seminar will review techniques learnt throughout the whole series as well as introducing more difficult or unusual techniques. This is an extensive in depth course that will bring the latest techniques and research in Craniosacral Therapy.
Graduates may undertake further training for joining the Craniosacral Therapy Association of Australia. For more details please download the comprehensive Information Guide, available as PDF file (see left).
