For those of you who did not make the Hugh Milne Master Class and Retreat then you missed out big time on one of the most professional classes and retreats yet held in Adelaide on Craniosacral Therapy . The living legend lived up to his name and all those who attended the classes are signed up for more !

I was lucky to be part of the master class as a reciever for a day and observed things first hand . Unlike some overseas presenters whose egos require them to walk through a door sideways it was refreshing to see how Milne presented his subject material by adopting a”mentoring approach” and coaching students as they experienced the subject matter . His mastery of group dynamic and presentation skills reflects his years of presenting different aspects of Craniosacral Technique and Philosophy . This was truly a treat to experience !

It was also interesting to note that there was a varied audience of Interstate, overseas and local Craniosacral Pracititoners and some from Biodynamic Training . All were able to relate to Milne and they all stated that time passed quickly and how much they got out of the workshops on different levels .

Hopefully Milne will be back in the future but better line up in the queue to reserve your place as numbers will be limited !

PS Hugh is coming back for four days in November 29- 2nd Dec 2012 in Sydney

Giorgia Milne Practitioner and teacher of Biodynamic Cranial Touch Therapy is now teaching this work in Australia. First Australian Mentoring classes were held in Adelaide in June 2011 and received great reviews by attending practitioners. The mentoring trainees will graduate in June 2012 with Biodyanmic Touch certification .

In Biodynamic Cranial work, the practitioner works with the Breath of Life. The Breath of Life is the source of primary respiration—a deep healing force that creates your body at conception and maintains health ..throughout the rest of your life. The Breath of Life is also that which infuses us with the awareness of and connection to the Radiant Presence of Spirit.

New Classes are now scheduled to commence in Sydney with an introduction to this work commencing on June 21-24 , 2012

This BCT is now open to all who wish to experience the concepts and to experience this work through introductory Initiatory courses.

Biodynamic Cranial Touch is different work to Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapy and is seen to be a new advancement in the field.

They say seeing is believing! There is renewed interest in the bodywork community with Myofascial Release Therapy with the release of graphic pictures showing the interaction of the Fascia with the connective tissue of the body. A new DVD clearly demonstrates what John Barnes PT has been alluding to for many years that the fascia is a conduit for not only nerves and meridians but also has an effect on fluids within the body. The DVD was created by Dr Jean Guimberteau.

J.C Guimberteau born in 1947 is cofounder and scientific director of the Aquitaine Hand Institute (I.A.M), member of the French Hand Society (GEM) and of the French Plastic and Reconstructive Society (SF.C.P.R.E). He is shown here on the right at a conference.

This 25-minute DVD contains some of the most fascinating images of living fascia ever developed. Dr. Jean Claude Guimberteau is a plastic and hand surgeon who has been researching the body’s ‘sliding system’ that allows fascial planes to move on each other. The beauty and excitement of this film is that is living fascia in a living person, and so beautifully filmed that no one — lay or practitioner — can see this video unmoved. The sheer poetry of the images is enough, but you also learn how the collagen, ground substance water and fat work together to make the ‘sliding system’ — the body’s interconnected system of loose connective tissue.

Consider a membranous envelope that glistens with a slick lubricating fluid. A continuous envelope that extends from head to toe, front to back, surrounding every organ, every blood vessel, every nerve, every bone, and every muscle. An envelope that changes thickness as it extends from region to region. Its purpose: to support and lubricate. An example of its function: to prevent a muscle from catching on its neighbouring muscles as it contracts.

Anatomists have conceptually broken this continuous sheath of tissue into small pieces, ignoring its continuity, and give the same structure different names as it passes from one part of the body to the next. The tendency of anatomists to break fascia down into little pieces, only serves to confuse and disorient us. It is the continuity of this lubricating, supportive, fascial envelope that enables us to better understand the fundamental principle –Unity in Function.

Microscopically, fascia is composed of collagen and elastin. Collagen is arranged in tiny micro-tubules. Form follows function. Tubules must transport something. That something is generally considered to be “tissue fluids.”

Blood vessels, nerves and meridians travel within the fascia to arrive at their designated end organs. In turn, fascia itself receives a profound number of nerve endings. The fascia is a fundamental structure in which the circulatory system and nervous system converge.

Clips of this DVD can be seen on U-tube.

“All… nerves go to and terminate in that great system, the fascia.” – AT Still MD
